BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—After a stellar performance in Birmingham-Southern's NCAA Regional semifinal game on Friday, senior Mollie Peavy was named to the Region All-Tournament Team.
Peavy recorded a career-high 17 kills against No. 2 Emory on Friday, and had no errors for a .607 hitting percentage. She also had two blocks. Against No. 22 Chicago on Thursday, Peavy had seven kills and two blocks. Over the two matches she had 24 kills and only two errors, hitting .440.
BSC earned its first-ever berth to the NCAA post-season, defeating 22nd-ranked Chicago in the first round before falling to top-seeded and second-ranked Emory, 3-1, in the second round. The Panthers ended the season with a record of 25-6.
