Panthers Dominate Sewanee in 3-0 Rout

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team improved to 2-1 in Southern Athletic Association play with its 3-0 road win over Sewanee Saturday afternoon.  BSC (7-4) hit .417 as a team in the third set to secure the victory.


Rachel Lee (Montgomery, Ala./The Montgomery Academy) earned her third consecutive match with 30+ assists.  She finished with 35 and nine digs.  Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) put down a team-high 10 kills. 


And Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) and Melaina Hissam (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) each finished with a match-high 14 digs. 


BSC remains on the road.  They face Centre College tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET.
