  • NCAA Tournament: No. 21 BSC Drops 3-1 Decision

    MOUNT BERRY, Ga.  – No. 21 Birmingham-Southern volleyball ended its season with a 3-1 loss to No. 22 Mary Hardin-Baylor in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night.  BSC finished the season 25-7, its most wins since 2015.
  • Salter, Johnson Named AVCA All-Region

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Senior Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) and junior Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-South Region, the organization announced Thursday.  Salter earned first-team honors, while Johnson was recognized on the honorable mention team.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – No. 21 Birmingham-Southern volleyball was seeded fourth in the South Regional of the 2018 NCAA Tournament.  BSC (25-6) earned an at-large bid after finishing third in the region.  This is the Panthers second consecutive trip to the dance, third all-time.

    MOUNT BERRY, Ga.  – No. 21 Birmingham-Southern volleyball fell 3-0 to No. 17 Berry College Sunday afternoon in the 2018 Southern Athletic Association championship.  They are now 10-7 all-time in the SAA tournament.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Junior Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) and freshman Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) swept Southern Athletic Association weekly honors, being named defensive and offensive players of the week, the organization announced Monday.  The pair helped the Panthers go undefeated this week with big wins over top 10 teams and regionally ranked opponents.

    ATLANTA, Ga.  – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team finished the Emory National Invitational undefeated after topping Randolph Macon and host No. 8 Emory Saturday.  BSC (23-5) outhit, out-aced, and out-dug both teams to close out the regular season on an 18-match win streak, going 3-0 against top 20 teams in the final two weeks.

    ATLANTA, Ga.  – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team upset No. 5 Thomas More and defeated Washington and Lee 3-1 to open the Emory National Invitational 2-0 Friday afternoon.  BSC (21-5) has now defeated two top 20 teams in the past seven days.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team pulled off the upset of the season when they handed No. 16 Berry College its first Southern Athletic Association loss in a 3-0 sweep Saturday afternoon in Bill Battle Coliseum.  The Panthers (19-5) secured second place in the league with the win and close conference play with a 12-2 record.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team rebounded from dropping set one against Maryville College to sweep the next three sets for its 3-1 win in Bill Battle Coliseum.  The Panthers (12-5) outscored Maryville 76-51 in their final non-conference home match of the season.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team fought tough against Southern Athletic Association rival Hendrix College Sunday before falling 3-1 in Bill Battle Coliseum.  The Panthers (7-4, 1-1 SAA) outperformed Hendrix in several categories, but were unable to pull out the win in a match with 40 ties.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala  – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team improved to 7-3 overall with its 3-0 win over Southern Athletic Association rival Rhodes College Saturday afternoon.  The Panthers are now 2-0 against conference opponents.
