
CONWAY, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team fended off Hendrix College Saturday afternoon to win 3-1 on the road. BSC (12-5) is now 6-2 against Southern Athletic Association opponents and sits third in the league.
Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) earned her second straight double-double. She finished with 11 kills and 21 digs. Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) continues to dominate at the net. She earned a match-high 17 kills, hitting .385, and also had a match-high six blocks.
Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) paced the back line with a match-high 26 digs. And Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) earned a match-high 39 assists.
The Panthers head to Memphis next to face-off against Rhodes College tomorrow. Match time is set to start for noon.
