SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team moved to second in the Southern Athletic Association with its 3-1 win over Sewanee Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (16-5) are now 9-2 in conference play.
Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) earned match-high 21 kills, tying a season-high, with only two errors for an amazing .452 average. Marjorie Ward (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park HS) also finished with double-digit kills at 13.
Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) ran the offense, finishing with a career-high 42 assists. And three Panthers picked up double-digit digs on the backline. The trio was led by Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) who earned 23 digs.
The Panthers return home to close out conference play next week. They host Millsaps College first on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.
