BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team held Oglethorpe University to just 22 earned points while putting up 65 in their 3-0 sweep Friday night. The Panthers improved to 18-5 overall and 11-2 against Southern Athletic Association opponents with the win.
Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) picked up her eighth double-double of the season with 10 digs and 11 kills, hitting .455. Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) led all attackers with a match-high 13 kills.
Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) netted her ninth double-double of the year. She earned a match-high 35 assists with a match-high 14 digs. Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) also finished with double-digit digs at 12.
The Panthers close out their home schedule against No. 16 Berry College tomorrow. It will be senior day on the Hilltop as the Panthers recognize their two seniors, Salter and Marjorie Ward (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park HS) . Match time is set for noon.
