    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball improved to 15-5 overall, 7-3 in Southern Athletic Association play with its 3-0 win over Millsaps College Tuesday night.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Senior Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) was named Southern Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
  • Panthers Sweep Oglethorpe 3-0

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern volleyball improved to 8-1 against Southern Athletic Association opponents with its clean 3-0 sweep of Oglethorpe University Sunday in Bill Battle Coliseum.  BSC (14-5) is currently first in the league with two weeks left in the regular season.
  • BSC Upsets No. 6 Berry 3-1

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball upset No. 6 Berry College Saturday afternoon in Bill Battle Coliseum to improve to 7-1 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.  This is the second time BSC (13-5) has defeated the ranked Vikings.  They now sit tied for first in the SAA with Hendrix College.

    ATLANTA  – Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball pushed No. 1 Emory University for four sets before falling 3-1 on the road Thursday evening.  BSC moved to 12-5 overall and 2-1 against ranked opponents this season with the loss.

    SEWANEE, Tenn.  – The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team fended off the University of the South Sunday en route to a 3-1 win that ends an undefeated weekend for the Panthers.  BSC (12-4) moved to 6-1 against Southern Athletic Association teams with the win.

    DANVILLE, Ky.  – Birmingham-Southern volleyball moved to 5-1 against Southern Athletic Association opponents with its 3-0 sweep of Centre College Saturday.  BSC (11-4) sits tied for second place in the league as they head towards the second half of the season.
  • Volleyball Battles Tough Against Hendrix

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern volleyball team fended off four match points in the fifth set before finally falling to Hendrix College 3-2 in a battle of the undefeated Southern Athletic Association teams.  BSC (10-4) moved to 4-1 against SAA opponents with the loss.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – After helping lead the Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team to a 2-0 week, senior Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Dutluth HS) was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Player of the Week.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball rebounded after losing the first set to defeat Millsaps College 3-1 Tuesday night in Bill Battle Coliseum.  BSC (9-3) is now 2-0 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.
  • Erwin, Johnson Sweep SAA Honors

    ATLANTA  – Seniors Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS)  and Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) of Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball swept Southern Athletic Association awards, earning offensive and defensive player of the week honors.
  • Panthers Remain Undefeated in Conference

    ATLANTA, Ga.  – Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball followed their upset win over No. 5 Berry College with a 4-1 win against Oglethorpe University Saturday to improve to 2-0 in Southern Athletic Association play.  BSC (8-3) out-killed, out-blocked, and out-dug the Stormy Petrels in the win.
  • Volleyball Upsets No. 5 Berry On Road

    ROME, Ga.  – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team came out on fire against No. 5 Berry College Friday night on the road.  BSC (7-3) upset the Vikings to earn their first Southern Athletic Association win of the season. It was also the Panthers first win over a ranked opponent this year.

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  – The Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team dropped its first matches of the season at the 2019 Pikes Peak Challenge Friday.  BSC (6-2) fell to host No. 7 Colorado College and Whitworth University.

  • Panthers Sweep Play to Close Out Weekend

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – It was a full team effort on Saturday for the Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball team.  The Panthers closed out the 2019 BSC McAttack Bash with clean sweeps of both Brevard College and LaGrange College.  BSC (4-0) won in straight sets, 3-0, to finish the weekend undefeated in Bill Battle Coliseum.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern women’s volleyball swept competition Friday in the first day of the 2019 BSC McAttack Bash in Bill Battle Coliseum.  BSC (2-0) defeated St. Catherine University 3-1 before going on to top Covenant College 3-0.
