Volleyball Streak Continues, 11-1 in Conference

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball won its fifth straight conference match Sunday when it swept Sewanee 3-0 in Bill Battle Coliseum.  BSC is now 17-5 overall, 11-1 in conference.

Alyssa Coats (Nolensville, Tenn./Nolensville HS) earned her third double-double of the season.  She tied her career-high with a match-high 13 kills and picked up 11 digs.  Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) and Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) combined for 33 assists.  And defensively, Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) earned a match-high 18 digs with Ray right behind her with 16, respectively.

The Panthers close out the regular season on the road next weekend.  They take on Hendrix College Saturday in a battle for sole possession of first place in the league. Match time is set for noon.
