Cross Country teams place second at JSU Foothills Invitational

OXFORD, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's cross country teams both placed second today at the JSU Foothills Invitational at the Oxford Lake and Recreation Area.

TEAM FINISHES

  • Both teams placed second; the men were second in a field of five non-Division I teams, while the women were second in a field of six.

INDIVIDUAL FINISHERS

  • Junior Timothy McOmber was the top finisher on the men's side, placing fifth among non-Division I runners with an 8K time of 26:18.05.
  • Sophomore Morgan Reynolds was BSC's top women's finisher, coming in 27th with a 5K time of 20:31.58.
  • Junior Chris Roberts also placed in the top 10 on the men's side, finishing seventh with a time of 26:32.54.

QUOTABLE

  • "We had a productive showing today from both teams," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "Our runners looked solid throughout the race and we look forward to building off of the results we posted today."
