MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern cross country teams had a good showing at the Berry College Invite Saturday morning. The women finished fifth out of 19 teams on the course. The men finished seventh, respectfully.
Morgan Reynolds (Indian Springs, Ala./Westminster School) led the women, finishing in 17th overall with a time of 24:02.72.
Timothy McOmber (Montgomery, Ala./Montgomery Catholic Prep School) was the men's top finisher at third place. He crossed in 25:45.63, just four seconds off his personal best. Chris Roberts (Huntsville, Ala./Huntsville HS) also finished top 10 in the race. He placed seventh overall in a time of 26:00.11
This was the Panthers last meet before the Southern Athletic Association Championships Saturday, Oct. 29. They begin prep for the conference meet hosted by Millsaps College on Choctaw Trails. It will be BSC's second run at Choctaw Trails this season. The Panthers got a look at the course at the Watson Ford Invite meet back on October 7.
