BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's cross country team is currently ranked 10th in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South/Southeast regional rankings, the organization announced recently.
"Our women have worked extremely hard all season and deserve this ranking more than ever," said head cross country coach Kenneth Cox. "We have a talented group of women that compete against themselves every day. Before the season began, we talked about how special this team could be and they continue to trust in the process."
Three other Southern Athletic Association programs were also ranked including Berry College who hosts the NCAA Regionals this year. The Panthers are preparing to return to Rome, Ga. on Saturday, Nov. 12 to compete for a chance at Nationals. They ran the course back on October 15 and had four finish in under 25 minutes.
