BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's cross country teams were recognized by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as All-Academic Teams.
"I am always proud to see our athletes be recognized for the hard work that they put into their academics while committing themselves to athletics," said Head Coach Kenneth Cox.
As a team, the women earned a 3.70 GPA and the men had a 3.26 GPA, respectively. Marjorie Head (Columbiana, Ala./Shelby County HS) was recognized individually. The junior political science major finished the semester with a 4.0 GPA while earning all-region honors.
