Anthony McCall joined the Birmingham-Southern College football coaching staff as the corners coach in March 2015.
McCall, a native of Montgomery, Ala., comes to BSC after a season at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where he was a graduate assistant working with the wide receivers. Prior to that he was a G.A. at Jacksonville State for the 2013 season, working with the cornerbacks, and he was a varsity assistant coach at Trinity Presbyterian School in Montgomery, Ala., during the 2012 season.
McCall was a three-year starter at wide receiver for University of Louisiana at Monroe. Named a 2008 All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention selection, he was also a member of the Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll, and the Maroon and Gold Society, awarded to student-athletes with GPAs of 3.0 or higher. McCall also served on ULM's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) from 2010-2011.
He received his Bachelor's in mass communication with a concentration in journalism from ULM in 2011, and also worked as a sports clerk at the Montgomery Advertiser and a sports intern at KNOE 8 News in Monroe, La. He also interned with the ULM Sports Information department as a student.
