
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team dropped its season opener Saturday 77-71 to Mary Hardin-Baylor in game one of the 2018 Richard Dardenne Memorial Classic.
The Panthers were led by Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS). She earned a double-double with game-highs of 21 points and 17 rebounds after making 9-of-18 from the floor. Olsen also finished with four blocks and four assists in 36 minutes on the court.
Misa Fujii (Sunnyvale, Calif./Notre Dame) and Aisya Davis (Powder Springs, Ga./Hillgrove HS) rounded out the Panthers with double-digit points. The pair earned 13 points each, respectively.
The Panthers conclude the Classic tomorrow against Rose-Hulman College. Tip off is set for 4 p.m.
