
ATLANTA – The Birmingham-Southern women's basketball team fell on the road to No. 5 Hope College Friday afternoon to close out play at the Quality Suites Classic. BSC moved to 3-8 overall with the 79-37 loss.
Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) and Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) led offensively with a team-high eight points each. Black also led the team in rebounds with nine and was voted to the All-Classic team for her performance.
The Panthers take a break from competition for the holiday season and return to action January 1 as they open Southern Athletic Association play against Millsaps. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
