Panthers top Berea 76-66

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball improved to 5-1 overall with its 76-66 win over Berea College Tuesday night in Bill Battle Coliseum.  The Panthers remain undefeated at home this season.

Emilee Olsen (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter HS) and Derienne Black (Madison, Ala./Sparkman HS) both dropped 20+ points for the second time this season.  Olsen led with a game-high 27 points.  She also grabbed nine rebounds and two blocks.  Black earned a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.  Leah Middleton (Decatur, Ga./St. Pius XH) also finished in double-figures.  She netted 11 points, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. 

BSC heads west for the holiday next.  The Panthers travel to California for the UC Santa Cruz Thanksgiving Classic.  They take on Wheaton this Saturday, Nov. 30.  Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
